The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure will re-open to the public this summer, but most amusement park fans won't be able to recognize the attraction following major enhancements.
According to the official blog of Universal Orlando, the first upgrade guests at the park will notice will be a new entrance to the ride. Universal has added a huge figure of The Hulk holding actual pieces of track from the original ride.
And it's not just the ride that's been refreshed; the teams at Universal have developed a storyline that is unique to the attraction. As test subjects in General Thaddeus Ross's Hulk-a-fication process, guests will be part of the story instead of just viewing it from afar.
While waiting in line can be a major downside to any ride, that won't be the case for The Incredible Hulk roller coaster. Not only will guests walk through a military research compound as they wait for their turn, but they will also see all of the experiments done by General Ross as passengers are loaded into one of the coaster's cars for their Gamma accelerator experience.
Speaking of the roller coaster's cars, the ride vehicles have been completely overhauled. With a sleek new look and an in-seat audio system that plays original music specifically designed for the ride, this is the classic Hulk roller coaster amplified to the next level.
