It's Justin Bieber's lucky day. He can unpack his suitcases.

The White House officially responded to a petition that asked for Justin's deportation on Friday, April 18, ultimately siding with the 20-year-old entertainer, Us Weekly reports.

"Sorry to disappoint, but we won't be commenting on this one," the statement read. "We'll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber's case, but we're glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million people are living in the shadows."

"Not only is it the right thing to do morally, it's the right thing for our country: Independent economists say immigration reform will grow our economy and shrink our deficits by almost $1 trillion in the next 20 years," the statement continued. "For those of you counting at home, that's 12.5 billion concert tickets - or 100 billion copies of Mr. Bieber's debut album."

In January, a "Deport Justin Bieber and Revoke his Green Card" petition received over 100,000 signatures asking that the Canadian native leave the U.S.

The petition was created shortly after the "Boyfriend" singer was arrested for DUI in Miami on Jan. 23.

"We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture," the petition read. "We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations [sic] youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

The petition never seemed to phase Justin. Since then, he's been back in the studio, and was spotted getting cozy with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez at Coachella on April 13.

What do you think? Did the White House make the right decision?
