The Knott's Soak City Water Park is already a popular theme park in California, but the facility is adding new attractions and renovating old rides in preparation for next summer.
According to the official website of Knott's Soak City, the water park will debut two water slide towers, dubbed Shore Break and The Wedge. The towers will open to the public at the start of the 2017 season in May.
The Shore Break tower will reach a height of seven stories and will feature a total of six different water slide experiences. Four of the slides on the tower will be built so guests wait anxiously on a platform before the floor drops out and they fall into the flume. The tower will also feature duel tube slides highlighted by a series of drops and turns.
As for The Wedge tower, it will be replacing the Pacific Spin attraction at Knott's Soak City Water Park. The open air family raft ride will be able to hold up to six guests at a time as they navigate the twists and turns of the massive water slide.
The Knott's Soak City Water Park website provided an artist rending of the new towers:

In addition to the new water slides, the water park will also be updating shaded seating areas, adding cabanas and remodeling the Longboard's Grill restaurant.
Construction on the projects is scheduled to begin Sept. 12.
