NYC Helicopter Tour Lets Tourists Take Shoe Selfies To Another Level

Sometimes the available skyscrapers just aren’t high enough and the shoe selfie you snapped off just isn’t hitting the mark.
As The New York Post discovered, a company is taking your social media posts to high above New York city: “FlyNYON, a New Jersey-based company, offers open-door helicopter rides that soar high above the city’s skyline.”
A quick look at the company’s website shows that their service is available in both Miami as well as New York.
The website promises quite the experience: “We harness you into the helicopter like the pros, remove the doors, and give you complete visual access to the world around. Additionally, the FlyNYON experience often includes capturing images alongside some of our best Instagram contributors.”
We will let you judge how amazing your Instagram could be. The fact that our heart is now beating faster means we enjoy boring ol’ terra firma, but to each his own.
FlyNYON offers a more in-depth look at the experience with the following video that features gorgeous images of the city:
You will hardly get closer to soaring above the city with this much access. But nothing this exotic comes free.
Of course, you will pay handsomely for this whirlwind tour around town. Looking at some of the packages, you will drop at least $299 on the adventure.
The Classic 30 package, for example, is a 30-minute jaunt that fits a wealth of sightseeing into the time allotted: “This flight allows enough time to slow down, make a second pass, or shoot an extra bridge from above. Our heliport in Kearny NJ offers views of the NYC skyline seconds after takeoff.”
If money is no object, you might consider an opportunity to dominate social media with shoe selfies normally afforded Superman.
Of course, this means you will have to polish your kicks for a truly remarkable photo shoot.
