Former President Barack Obama is heading back to the tropics, this time for a family getaway in Bali.
With daughters, Malia and Sasha in tow, the former president and Mrs. Obama arrived in Bali capital, Denpasar on Friday evening.

The welcome was a low-key affair, with just a few officials greeting the Obama family. According to the Tribun-Bali, Obama specifically asked for a small gathering with no journalists present upon his arrival.
The trip is a walk down memory lane of sorts for Obama, who moved to Indonesia with his mother in 1967 when he was six years old. He later returned to Hawaii, at the age of 10, to live with his grandparents. Also accompanying him on the trip is his half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng.
The Obamas have been spotted sightseeing at various cultural attractions in Ubud, a popular Balinese visitor destination and they are rumored to be staying at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Ubud.
The Obamas are expected to stay in Bali until June 28, after which they will visit other parts of Indonesia. The former president will then head to Jakarta, where he is scheduled to appear at the 4th Congress of Indonesian Diaspora on July 1.

According to The Jakarta Post, the visit coincides with a major tourism push by the Indonesian Tourism Ministry, which said it will display promotional material in Times Square during the president's visit. The agency, which also displayed billboards in Times Square earlier this year, has rolled out similar promotional campaigns in conjunction with visits from other world leaders.
