The Pacific Crest Trail hike is long and, quite frankly, a bit exhausting, so we appreciate this video that trims the time to appreciate the adventure considerably.

Thanks to Halfway Anywhere (h/t Digg), we all get to enjoy a modicum of what seems like an epically beautiful journey across the United States from Mexico to Canada.

While the hike mandates traversing various locales over 2,660 miles, the video manages a more digestible adventure of a few minutes.

Still, it’s more than enough to have us craving similar exploits, which would let us see a grand swath of this gorgeous nation.

As the YouTube description states, this video highlights parts of a grueling journey through “California, Oregon, and Washington.”

While this video offers stunning sights, we previously noted another Pacific Crest endeavor that led to a great transformation for the man embarking on the hike.

If you have the time and energy, you can get more information on creating similar memories at the Pacific Crest Trail Association website.

While every trip will differ and each experience will be an especially rare one, the Pacific Crest Trail’s ubiquitous beauty guarantees that the hike will just about change your life.
