The Eiffel Tower shines like a beacon of technology and innovation. But recently it blazed with a little more pizzazz to garner awareness for breast cancer.
As you may have seen all across social media, Paris’ famed landmark ditched its iconic glow for a pink tint on Monday, all in the name of a great cause.
But first, here is a video that walks us through the particulars behind the temporary flash of color:

The Times of India explains the color change isn’t the only way officials will help celebrate breast cancer awareness month: “The light show in Paris marks France's 22nd ‘Pink October’ campaign, which will also see information stalls set up at Trocadero, not far from the tower, until Thursday.”
And so all over the world, from sports teams to iconic landmarks, breast cancer is being fought with strength, donations and a splash of color to remind us all that the battle still needs all of our help.
