Peru's Hanging Cliff Rooms Are Satisfyingly Crazy

Some hotels are rather boring; we will give you that. But we hardly think you have to hang off a cliff to get to sleep properly.

Lost at E Minor’s Rachel Oakley introduces the Internet to accommodations that reside right between serene and insane, just off a Peruvian cliff.

What you see below in various videos is quarters available for rent by the Natura Vive Skylodge.

The website, linked above, boasts its most amazing amenity in its view: “Located in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco, Peru, the exclusive Skylodge Adventure Suites offers you the chance to sleep within a completely transparent hanging bedroom, that allows you to appreciate the impressive view of this magic and mystic valley.”

Oakley states that the installations sit 400 feet above the ground, giving us all the chills from over here where our beds are nicely nestled on the ground.

Here is a brief look thanks to YouTube.

As you see in the second video, getting to the pods is quite a feat in itself. The website states that you either have to climb up the side of the cliff or “hike an intrepid trail through ziplines.”

Either is a bit more extreme than parking your car outside of a hotel’s valet service.

But if this is your idea of relaxation, Natura Vive states accommodations will run up to 999 soles, or about $314.

That price will get you one night in a pod, zipline fun and a view you can boast about across all available social media channels.

And yes, there is an en suite bathroom. Because we imagine the vacation would hit a snag once you get to your obscenely treacherous cliff dwelling only to find out you have to tinkle.
