The Royal Couple have descended upon New York City. This is not a drill.
CNN reports the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, also known as Prince William and Kate, also known by fans who spotted them in NYC as "Ahhhh, Oh My God!" and "No Way, Garghhhh!" made landfall on Sunday, embarking on a three-day tour of the area that will take them to such places as the White House, the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art and a Brooklyn Nets game.
There is a general fervor amid locals and tourists who are clamoring to spot the popular Royal Couple.
Here is a brief video that illustrates two people walking into a hotel:
Before their arrival, Reuters broke down the enthusiasm surrounding the royal visit, including some adorable footage of school children preparing to greet the Duchess of Cambridge:
Contributing editor of Britain's Hello Magazine, Eloise Parker, offered an assessment of America's passion for the widely popular family: "The appeal of the royals in the U.S. is extraordinary. I think everyone, even the most jaded New Yorkers are fascinated by the history, the drama and the glamour of the British royal family."
Now for those interested, and we imagine you number in the millions, Glamour's Lynsey Eidell breaks down the exhausting itinerary of William and Kate.
On Monday, the Prince met with President Barack Obama in Washington D.C. while the Duchess stayed back to visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem.
The two will then get to see some NBA action at the Barclays Center as the Nets take on LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.
Tuesday will be just as filled with morning stops beginning at the 9/11 memorial and, as Eidell writes, "two youth organizations, The Door in NYC and the City Kids Foundation."
Prince William will meet with Mayor Bill de Blasio at the Empire State Building, later joining up with his wife at MOMA for the "University of St. Andrews 600th anniversary dinner."
Eidell estimates the total time of the couple's trip at 60 hours, which is extremely brief when you consider the wide swath of destinations the two will see.
We imagine there will be a sizable caravan of loyal fans ready to greet them at each stop along the way, getting in some royally needed pictures to commemorate the moment.
