Skull Island: Reign of Kong Has Soft Opened in Orlando
The much-anticipated “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” attraction at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure has soft-opened to public. While no official public opening date has been announced, the next date of note will be a media event on June 23.

SeaWorld Orlando Opens Mako Roller Coaster
On Friday, SeaWorld Orlando officially opened the tallest and longest roller coaster in Orlando with the debut of the 200-feet-tall Mako. The attraction reaches speeds of up to 73 miles per hour, and is the park’s fifth roller coaster.

Russia Plans to Build $4 Billion Amusement Park
Officials in Russia have announced plans to build a theme park on the border of the Kaluga and Moscow regions, with an estimated price tag of $4 billion. The park would feature the world’s biggest water park, and the project has been approved by Vladimir Putin.

Superman The Ride Opens Saturday at Six Flags New England
Six Flags New England opened the new Superman The Ride roller coaster to a special few fans Thursday. The ride is equipped to allow riders to wear Samsung Gear VR headsets, and will open to the public on Saturday, June 11.


Halloween Horror Nights is one of the most popular events at Universal Orlando each year, and the amusement park has announced that the 26th edition of the event will be emceed by the terrifying character Chance.

The Carowinds theme park experienced a power outage Thursday that left passengers on three rides stranded. One of the attractions was the Windseeker, a 301 foot-tall swing ride, which forced workers to manually lower people to the ground.

The Knott's Berry Farm's Ghost Town is now celebrating its 75th anniversary through September 5 with a new attraction dubbed “Ghost Town Alive!” In addition, several shops in the Ghost Town will be opening to guests for the first time ever.

A former Walt Disney World employee has been accused of stealing more than $100,000 over a 22-month period while she was working at the Columbia Harbor House restaurant.
