When it comes to cracking jokes in the car, it’s best to leave the heavy lifting to the professionals.
To help the cause, navigation app Waze is unveiling a new celebrity in its long line of famous voices that have graced the speakers of cars around the nation.
Stephen Colbert, preparing to open his iteration of “The Late Show,” embraced the opportunity to help travelers with their directions.
The show’s YouTube channel posted the following video that should have you automobile navigators scrambling to change the voice setting on your respective smartphone devices.
The video promises that you will get to your destination with quips like, “Heavy traffic reported ahead. Ugh, traffic. My least favorite kind of jam.”
Now we would recommend actually driving a car with the steering wheel firmly attached to the automobile.
Now if Colbert isn’t your cup of comedic tea, there are a couple of other famed voices lurking in the application at the moment.
As of this writing, we noticed that you could set your voice to the New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski, actor Neil Patrick Harris or Colonel Sanders.
This follows Arnold Schwarzenegger who previously touted his summer movie “Terminator Genisys” with a cameo on the app.
“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” premieres September 8, which makes this the perfect time to pump up the volume with Colbert.
