Samantha Brown has a new show that premieres on Sunday, which aims to answer a peculiar travel question.

Would you take a trip?

Of course you would. Perhaps we have to be a bit more specific. Would you take a trip to some exotic place on the planet right now, this very instant?

Brown teams up with co-host Chris Grundy to surprise people on the street with that very query. They can take a wonderful trip to some far off location. But they have to leave immediately, and there is $50,000 involved.

Here is a brief teaser for the show aptly titled “50/50” which premieres Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel:

According to CNN’s Annie Fitzsimmons, who spoke to Brown, the show centers on the duo surprising a person on the street and offering a 50-hour trip worth $50,000.

Now we will spend the rest of the day walking around hoping to bump into Brown and her crew.

As we mentioned, Fitzsimmons spoke with the Travel Channel host who was happy to offer thoughts on the new venture: “There are hooks, like having to leave right now. But it's not just an ambush show. It showcases the power of travel. We're taking people out of their normal, ordinary lives and taking them to absolutely extraordinary places.”

It’s just like your average holiday; only it’s a lot more immediate and a lot more public.

Now you might have some questions on particulars. Brown answers some of the issues with taking off on a whim: “Our questions start out light, like, ‘Hey, do you like to travel?’ and move on to ‘Who do you have to call to tell them you're leaving?’ Usually a boss or someone to take care of their kids.”

Brown continues to CNN, explaining that some fortunate people had a travel expert to help them stuff their respective luggage: “For international destinations, they needed to have a passport. They would have to pack a bag in 10 minutes, and I was there coaching them.”

Now take a moment to daydream what you would do if you had 50 hours and $50,000 to travel. The important part, we imagine, is that you say yes.
