Never, and we mean ever, travel on Friday.
Or do, just don’t do so if you are trying to stay on the right side of European superstition, because that day is considered to be especially unlucky.
The reason we know is thanks to Isle of Man travel website Visit IOM, which produces the following graphic that will have you considering anew your thoughts on numbers, goats and whether you should sit on your luggage.
We say it’s fine to sit on your suitcase, but perhaps it’s safer to just watch someone else do it and document the results.
The image lists various travel superstitions around the world, of which there are many.
So dive in and see why you should rub Lincoln’s nose or, if you are in Serbia, spill some water behind a fellow traveler.
