Seinfeld, Japan Dance Ban Lead Wonderful Week of Travel News

Heights, classic television sets, and soldier screams: This week had just about everything.

Of course, we would love to hear from you as to astounding travel stories that should have made the list.

But we think you will be pleased with what we have here, a list that features annoying tourists, ridiculous heights, and a “Seinfeld” pop-up that would make the Soup Nazi smile.

Heck, we even learned something about Japan and its nearly seven-decade battle against the frivolity of dance. 

So bust down the door like Kramer and enjoy. 

Japan Would Like This Dance:

I had no clue that Japan had a 67-year-old ban against late-night dancing and funky festivities until this week.

Thankfully, this realization was met with the news that the country had lifted the ban, so revelers can now perform that dance routine they have been practicing for years.

No Touching:

Don’t touch another human being. Besides being extremely creepy it’s downright rude.

Now when you do so with a Queen’s Guard, the act leads to a viral video-worthy admonishment.

Courtney Love, Uber Fracas Reporter:

As the news report above shows, things turned ugly this week when protestors took umbrage with the UberPOP service in the form of citywide bedlam.

In an odd twist, Courtney Love was caught in the middle, tweeting and Instagram-posting the events as they unfolded.

What’s The Deal with Pop-Ups?

Hulu unveiled all Seinfeld episodes on its streaming service this week. And to celebrate, it created something quite amazing.

Those in New York had a few days to step into the world of “Seinfeld,” enjoying a recreated apartment and artifacts from the show.

Google Street View Gets Extreme:

Last, we bring you the latest sign that Google Street View will one day encompass just about any place a human can roam.

The service now has a view high along the wall of Yosemite’s El Capitan. Beware, because it’s not the kind of internet tourism for the squeamish.
