Sharks, Jamie Lee Curtis and Airbnb Highlight Frantic Travel Week

We certainly hope you like sharks, because this week was pretty much rife with the things.

It seems the monsters of the oceanic deep got the memo that “Sharknado 3” would premiere this week, because things got a bit out of hand all around the world.

Sharks were trying to nibble humans and humans were trying to build cages to wear in the ocean.

Shark Snack:

Surfer Mick Fanning’s astounding South African adventure with a shark dominated the news early in the week.

It makes sense when you consider the J-Bay was stopped abruptly when one of its surfers very nearly became a light afternoon snack for a hungry shark.

Shark Soup:

The RSPB Medmerry Nature Reserve in England was recently the sight of a shark feeding frenzy.

The video above shows about 50 sharks enjoying local fare with the exuberance of Joey Chestnut taking down hot dogs.

Shark Deterrent:

While enjoying a nice day at a North Carolina beach, a YouTube user caught what looked like the perfect solution to shark mayhem.

The above video features a couple out to make a comedic video using PVC cages. Thankfully, there were no sharks in the audience.
