It was a great week to be a Beckham and a horrible few days to be a young boy with questionable balance.
Welcome back to another week in travel, where we examine the wackier side of the industry.
What you find below is just a sampling of all the entertainment and pop culture news you can normally find at TravelPulse.
And we have a fantastic smorgasbord of sensational stories, including a Dismaland video, David Beckham holiday and Star Wars map.
It’s enough to put a smile on your face after an exhausting week.
Banksy’s Dismaland has already received worldwide attention, so it seems a bit unfair to the other theme parks that it would also get an awesome video trailer.
But wouldn’t you know it, that’s what we got this week. Complete with a family having one heck of a depressing day.
Thailand Ice Cream Rolls:
This week we learned that there is more than one way to make ice cream.
OK, we already knew that. But we didn’t know that you could make the stuff in the same manner that you stir-fry some savory meat.
With a freezing pan and some amazing moves, the country serves us up a bit of knowledge on creating ice cream rolls.
John Oliver Holds Class:
“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” is a fantastic show for so many reasons.
One that you might not consider is the unrelenting geography gag the host pulls on the audience.
Now we can enjoy this wonderful mash-up that proves we, like Jon Snow, know nothing.
Disney David Beckham:
Shame on you if you ever doubted that Disneyland was the happiest place on earth.
The smile on David Beckham’s face is all the convincing you should ever need.
One little boy had a very big problem after a minor stumble caused damage to an expensive piece of art.
If you enjoyed the roller coaster of that last sentence, you will love this video of a stumble that damaged a $1.5 million piece of art.
The Map You Are Looking For:
Lastly, we want to bring you a fantasy map of a fictional Lucas World we are now dying to visit.
It will be some time until we know with certainty how Disney plans to infuse its parks with Star Wars attractions.
For the moment, we can gaze at the above masterpiece and dream.
