Like an exploding Death Star, news of the party in Anaheim has reached the travel world.
But that’s just a modicum of the fantastic stories that crept across the transom of pop culture and travel news this week.
Below is a collection of the videos and tweets that tickled us to no end, giving us a nice bookend to what has been a tremendous few days.
Los Angeles is a Star Wars Wasteland:
Before we got to see a new and entirely astounding teaser for the new movie, we got to see what Los Angeles might look like under the attack from the Galactic Empire.
It’s not good, but in a completely awesome way.
Boeing Solves Travel Woes:
That’s it. Call off the search.
With its latest patent, Boeing has solved every last ounce of our issues with trying to sleep on an airplane. As it turns out we just needed our bodies locked into an uncomfortable position.
Justin Bieber Plays the Hits:
Justin Bieber has promised to be on his best behavior but followed that up with a quick exit from last weekend’s Coachella.
Most leave the grounds with a bit of a hangover, but Bieber departed with a security guard around his neck.
It’s a good thing that being a Buckingham Palace guard is a largely anonymous task or else this guard’s now famous fall to the ground would coincide with his name.
Still, we say he handled the momentary lapse with an amazing amount of sophistication.
The Force is in Anaheim:
That is the second teaser for the upcoming “The Force Awakens.” You may have seen it a couple dozen times already.
Well, the greatest collection of Star Wars nerds is currently taking over Anaheim, making it the first time we were ever jealous of a city.
The Misadventures of Alton Brown:
Alton Brown taught us a great many things. He gave us an appreciation for the proper way to cook a steak and a deeper understanding of the myriad uses for the egg.
He also proved that even celebrities have to sit on the floor of an airport sometimes.
