Taxco, Mexico, is a quaint city but would still demand more than just a few hours to see it all. Then again, you could always fly through the city on a bike, leaping down from buildings and generally astonishing an enthralled crowd taking it all in.
Digg spotted a mesmerizing video that features downhill pro rider Filip Polc racing to the bottom of the city in the matter of minutes-three nearly nauseating minutes.
Here is all that Taxco has to offer, sort of:
This run took place in the 2014 City Downhill World Tour, which apparently mandated riders to be geniuses as well as brilliant athletes, because just memorizing this course is an extraordinary feat.
Then you have the random jumps, step-downs from buildings and breakneck sprints down stairs that have us all fat and giggly on this end of the video.
TripAdvisor offers the town originated to harness silver, and continues, "All around the picturesque town you'll find sellers of silver finery, from open air markets to metal workshops to high end boutiques."
Visit Mexico chimes in with an apt description of those warren roads that made the above run so captivating, offering up some landmarks of note as well:
"Admired colonial jewel of great mining tradition, the city of Taxco distinguishes by its stone-paved lanes, crowded small squares and ancient big houses from which balconies flowers of great colors peep out. Among the skirts of Cerro Atachi, one of the most beautiful examples of Mexican baroque stands out: the Santa Prisca and San Sebastian Parish."
Now we can't wait to get on out to an unheralded jewel of Mexico. Although we would just as soon take a walking tour of the town, leaving the extreme bike riding to the professionals.
