They came in dressed as wookies, bounty hunters and human-attired fan boys, and they will stay for the weekend and call this place named Anaheim home.
Sure it’s not Coruscant, but we hear the local theme-park game is fairly reputable.
For those interested, the Star Wars Celebration is a convention for the Jedi in all of us, and it takes place from April 16-19 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Thursday kicked off the proceedings with a live stream of a panel that featured director J.J. Abrams, producer Kathleen Kennedy, plus new cast members as well as old.
But the festivities started before the likes of Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher took the stage.

Now the party continues throughout the weekend. For more information on what the event entails, you can follow along at the Star Wars Celebration website or watch the live panel again on YouTube.
There are still tickets, as of this writing, for Thursday, Friday and Sunday when you will get a chance to see exhibitions as well as myriad panels.
On Friday, for example, you get to find out if you have the Force like the Skywalker clan with some lightsaber training for younglings.
Abrams and company started the show with a fervor that may just continue until Christmas when we all get to open the best gift of all: a ticket to Episode VII.
Don’t let us down Abrams; you are our only hope.
