If you've seen one frozen lake you've seen them all, unless you are hanging around Slovakian mountains.
The latest video to get picked up and passed around the virtual world features a pair of hikers walking on water. Well, to be fair, it only seems like they are walking on water.
ABC News posted the following video on Tuesday that was originally uploaded by YouTube user Tomas N.
As you will soon see, some expeditions lead to truly breathtaking moments:
According to the report, this video was taken at the High Tatras Mountains in Slovakia, and it illustrates what pristine water can do when it freezes.
One hiker seems to float effortlessly above what would otherwise be precarious circumstances. The other shoots what lay beneath his feet: a gorgeous set of rocks framed by ice so clear you wish you could use some for the frames on your house's windows.
With amazing color, clarity and wow factor, we say chop up this stuff and place it on a ring.
Lonely Planet has a bit more on the mountain range, stating that it remains, "the tallest range in the Carpathian Mountains."
The rest of the report will have you craving a trip to the location, because among its features are, "pristine snowfields, ultramarine mountain lakes, crashing waterfalls, undulating pine forests and shimmering alpine meadows."
You can go ahead and add one amazing frozen section of the lake that now has all of our attention.
