Pixar films are always amazing pieces of cinema, taking us to incredible worlds with unique characters and unforgettable stories. But what would those all be without the scores and music to help bring the emotion to life?
Imagine Buzz and Woody silently gliding through the air, proclaiming “ to infinty and beyond!” without that huge musical score behind them? It doesn't seem as fun. What about when Sully, Mike and Boo are running from Randall through the doors in Monster Inc? It wouldn't be the same without that heart pounding music behind it.
The score of a Pixar film is every bit as important as the rest of the movie.
This summer, Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate the Music of Pixar with a huge new nightly show. The limited-time event is entitled, “The Music of Pixar Live”.
Beginning on May 26, guests can see nightly performances of their favorite scores from Pixar films, as well as special appearances from their favorite Pixar characters. The new show will take place three times nightly in the Theater of the Stars—the same theater which has the Beauty and The Beast Stage Show. (Don't worry, you can still catch Beauty and The Beast during the day.)
The new show will feature a live orchestra and special appearances by characters such as Woody, Jesse, Mike, Sully and The Incredibles. (There's always sure to be a few surprises, too.)
The new show looks to be a great way to celebrate Pixar films in the parks and to capitalize on the two new Pixar films that will be out later this year. We can expect just about everything from Toy Story all the way through Cars 3, which will be released in June.

The new show is just the beginning of huge things happening at Walt Disney World this summer: Magic Kingdom will see an all-new fireworks show, along with tons of special events, such as the fourth of July festivities. The biggest opening this year is, of course, Pandora: World of Avatar. The new area will feature two new rides, dining areas and scenery.
