NFL stars are just like everyone else, except when they miss their flight they have access to fans volunteering to get them to their destination (or an Uber driver willing to take them across five states).
According to ESPN, Green Bay Packers cornerback Davon House missed his connecting flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport late Monday night. Needing to be in Green Bay, Wisconsin, by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday for a practice session, House reached out to his Twitter followers for a ride.
House's prayers were quickly answered when brothers and lifelong Packers fans Chad and Mike Johnson offered to get him back to his car at Green Bay's Austin Straubel International Airport.

"I went to bed, and I was scrolling through my Twitter and saw he needed a ride," Chad Johnson told ESPN.
"My brother lives in Hudson; I'm in Eau Claire. I tweeted him that, 'I could come pick you up,' and in the meantime, I texted my brother that House needs a ride. My brother also tweeted him. He was closer, so he swung up to the airport and picked him up, and I met him on Highway 29 so my brother and I could keep each other awake."
The ride took just over four hours to complete with House sleeping for a majority of that time.
The NFL veteran confirmed that he called a mutual friend of the trio's beforehand to run a quick background check on his drivers. "So I did my homework before I hopped in the car with strangers," House told ESPN. "But what's the difference between that and Uber, huh?"
House offered to put the brothers up in a hotel for the night but they would only settle for $80 in gas money. He also treated Chad and Mike to an early-morning tour of the locker room at Lambeau Field, showing them the Packers' Super Bowl trophies and signing some gloves and shoes.

Elsewhere in the Midwest, Buffalo Bills cornerback Shareece Wright was forced to take an eight-hour Uber ride from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to his team's practice facility in Orchard Park, New York, Sunday night in order to be back in time for a voluntary practice.
Wright's 550-mile ride cost him much more than $80 though, according to his representative Tamerat Berhe.
It's doubtful other NFL players will be copying House's or Wright's travel methods, but even professional athletes sometimes miss flights.
When they do, they trust Uber and sometimes even complete strangers to get them to their destination.
