Travel + Leisure magazine put together a list with the help of more than 400 drink speclialists to rank the best bars around the world.

Where to Find the Best Bars in the World

Dead Rabbit Grog and Grocery located in New York City received top honors as the "best in the world." So what makes it so great and what is it like to drink there?

According to CNN, this particular place is "one part Irish pub, one part classy cocktail joint." I suppose this means it can relate to just about everyone.

Complete with three levels, the tap room on the ground floor has a nice-sized whiskey list and feels "like a comfortable Irish pub." The second level is a parlor that serves cocktails. If you have a private event, Dead Rabbit can host you on the top floor.

Bar manager Jillian Vose says the comfortable feeling is part of what makes the place special. "I think the difference is that it's not just one thing," Rose tells CNN. "The Dead Rabbit feels like a bar that gives you a hug; it's cozy, you feel comfortable there." She also gives major credit to the location and says it wouldn't be the same if it was anywhere else.

The Dead Rabbit has received other awards in the past including "Best Bar in North America" and "World Best Cocktail Menu" which has both a parlor and tap room version. The Femme Fatale and the Gangsta's Paradise play on words, but they seem to be working and continue to bring customers in. Bring your wallet too, some of the drinks can cost upwards of $16, but they all seem to be worth it.

If you're up to it, the "two in one" bar is located at 30 Water Street in New York City.
