If you are over waiting for Disney to pump out new Star Wars movies you can hit the road and get to one of the following cities where the original trilogy will once again hit the big screen.
We will pause for you to plug in the necessary coordinates into the hyperdrive.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is promising a summer roadshow to end all roadshows - one that will feature some of the most recognizable characters in film history.
Dubbed "The Return of the Trilogy," the event will be just that, a premiere of the original Star Wars Movies: "A New Hope," "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi."
Now the movies will come to 20 cities nationwide, so pack your cosplay into the luggage and hit the road accordingly (additional dates and locations are promised).
Henri Mazza, Alamo Drafthouse's VP of Special Events, had this to say about the event: "It's always been a dream to show the original Star Wars trilogy again - somehow, someway. Seeing the original trilogy on the big screen for the first time is a real life-altering event and just a supreme amount of fun. When the films became available to book for screenings like these, we jumped at the chance to do something big."
Now as for the details: The trilogy will be shown in their entirety one right after the other as seen in the 1997 re-release form, which means you will have to once again store away hope to see the actual originals without any digital tinkering.
Adding to the theme, tickets will go on sale at this website starting on Star Wars Day, or May The Fourth to you noobs.
The event will also have a wealth of treats in the form of videos playing between films as well as contests.
We hope this includes a cosplay contest, because the organizers thoroughly encourage you to grab a cloak and dress as your favorite jedi or sith.
If you are feeling particularly inventive, perhaps go as Nein Nunb or Greedo and steal the show.
Essentially, it's going to be a Star Wars party not seen since that Endor hoedown.
