Well, this awesome couple managed to do just that.
Lonely Planet introduces us to Sylvain and Jenny who produce content for Lytchee Travel, a tour operator based in China that describes itself as “a team of experienced travel professionals who were involved at the early beginning in the China Internet travel industry growth.”
The two managed to put together one of our favorite travel videos in recent memory, a time-lapse epic that takes half a year of content and squeezes it down to a size that forces the whimsy to burst out onto the screen.
There is a ton to see in this short amount of time, so we forgive you if you missed some locations.
We don’t think you missed the most adorable part of the video, the moment that comes at about one minute, 24 seconds in.
That’s when we discover these two intrepid explorers became engaged on the Great Wall of China.
As romantic, amazing places go, these two scored a perfect location to get engaged.
But that was just one of myriad moments, memories that encapsulate a whopping 3,578 photographs that made it into the final edit of this video.
In total, we get to see, albeit quickly, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Laos.
Lonely Planet caught up with the two who explained: “Videos make stories look more real and are the perfect way to show people what a destination looks like. Moreover, we didn’t want to speak about our lives like traditional vlogging, but about the destination, the people and the food.”
A glimpse of their channel illustrates how profound vlogging has made travel research. In the span of a few minutes, we are captivated, mesmerized and, most importantly, motivated to see this part of the world.
