Chris Soules continues his pursuit of lifelong love within the wonderful and entirely romantic confines of Santa Fe as ABC's The Bachelor heads to the New Mexico hot spot.
Those tuning into ABC on Monday, Feb. 2 at 8/7c will get a heaping serving of drama and, we can surely hope, romantic endeavors.
As a press release from SantaFe.org reminds, the show is coming to one of the more artistic and starry-eyed cities in the nation.
However, as a preview for Monday's episode hints, the show will also feature enough drama to keep you satisfied throughout the year:
The release teases what you can expect from the episode: "The breathtaking city of Santa Fe, New Mexico will be featured on an upcoming episode of The Bachelor. The episode will feature an exciting group date through white water rapids while the bachelorettes try their hand at rafting, a romantic one-on-one date miles above the city, and a sultry one-on-one date that truly tests a connection, all with the newest Bachelor, Chris Soules."
It's an event that even garnered a countdown of sorts at Visit Santa Fe's Facebook page. Fans will be pleased with the entertainment and the city is ecstatic for the well-deserved moment in the reality-TV spotlight.
Some of us can't be Iowa farmers with an eye for love, so we have to look elsewhere to sweep our significant others off their feet.
As the release reminds, Santa Fe is the place to do just that. Here are a few places to make some sensational memories in this majestic locale:
Canyon Road:
Pretend you two are in a Richard Linklater movie and spend the day walking, talking and holding hands as you visit one sensational art gallery after another.
A website expounding on the half-mile road's virtues suggests: "Stroll this picturesque trail to experience fine art, great shopping, and exquisite dining any day of the week or make plans to attend one of our very special annual events."
Take a Dip:
Santa Fe offers a couple of options for those who might want to wash the stress away in the form of private pools.
As Santa Fe Travelers states, "Both Ojo Caliente and Ten Thousand Waves offer private soaking pools and tubs."
Dine Elegantly:
Now there is plenty in the way of dining options in Santa Fe. The Guardian even lists 10 you simply must try on your next visit.
However, USA Today's Billie Frank offers the following on what sets Geronimo apart form the rest: "The carefully cultivated ambiance (sexy lighting, kiva fireplaces, and soft music) paired with a well-executed menu and fine wines are the key."
Sip on Vino:
No romantic vacation is complete without some elegant wine to sip on. A good suggestion might be a visit to Estrella Del Norte, which offers wine tastings for all of $6.
There also some mighty fine wine bars in town like La Casa Sena, which Fodors states, "is ground central for wine lovers."
Dive into chocolate:
SantaFe.org suggests its "Chocolate Lover's Odyssey Tour," which sounds like a delectable way to spend time with the one you love.
The website states, "For chocolate lovers, there's no better way to see Santa Fe than through the tantalizing tastes of artisanal chocolates, made by gifted hands that bring out the very best flavors using an array of sweet treats and organic ingredients native to New Mexico, including chile, pinon nuts and lavender."
Make like a bachelor:
As we have been promised, Monday's episode will feature white-water fun. For the more adventurous couples, Santa Fe has river-rafting adventures you will adore.
Now SantaFe.org does assure the more timid among you, "The rivers in our region are famous, appealing to serious river rats seeking whitewater thrills as well as those who prefer to leisurely float along calm waters."
So if Monday's episode makes you want to book a trip to Santa Fe it isn't from cheap editing tricks or producer-fueled drama.
No, the backdrop that is Santa Fe is just as delightful as it seems and a haven for those looking for a great deal of romance on their next holiday.
