Tourism Ireland is hoping to cash in on the worldwide interest in Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Irish honeymoon by targeting their massive online fan base.
Kim, who reportedly landed in Ireland with Kanye on Saturday, May 24, has more than 40 millions followers on Twitter and Facebook.
"We're working hard to produce a guide for their fans about where they are, or rather where they might be," marketing director Mark Henry told The Drum on May 27.
"We'd love to be able to give their millions of followers the information, so maybe they can follow in their footsteps. It's a global story," he added.
When news of their arrival in Ireland emerged, Mark turned to Twitter.
Tourism Ireland has created a guide of places to visit in hopes of connecting with just a fraction of the couple's millions of followers.
The agency is hoping fans eager to get a glimpse into the lives of the rich and famous will maybe follow suit with a trip to the southwest.
Tourism Ireland also has an ongoing deal with HBO around "Game of Thrones," which has been partially shot in Northern Ireland. For two days around each new episode airing, the agency will run Facebook and Twitter activity to highlight where the episode was shot.
