A really good vacation normally consists of seeing new things and tasting delicious beer. So, consider this opportunity less a job and more a paid holiday.
Thrillist reports World of Beer is once again allowing some lucky individuals to try out for 2017’s iteration of its beer interns. The gig is as it sounds: You would traverse the great expanse of this planet and enjoy the best invention humanity has managed thus far (beer).
If selected, you will join two other Drink It Interns on a trip of a lifetime, one that will also pay you $12,000 for your four-month excursion to great beer locales.
Thrillist quotes the company, which explains: “The selected Drink It Interns will be World of Beer narrators, capturing content from around the country and the world and sharing it back via WOB social media channels to fans, bringing fresh stories and new insights in the world of brew traveling.
"The interns will be reporting on a behind-the-scenes look at the beer industry, covering brewery and WOB events, while gaining real-world experience in a professional field that offers limitless possibilities.”
You have between now and March 26 to throw your figurative hat into the ring.
Getting the gig is a three-step process. First, fill out the application at the website, linked above.
The next part is creating a one-minute video that will help sell your personality and knowledge of beer. And, as suggested, you are then encouraged to tout your application on social media and hope for its meteoric rise.
Thrillist spoke with World of Beer's Director of Brand Marketing, Hannah Davis, who has some wisdom to impart: “That passion for beer has to come through really strong in the initial video, but that doesn’t mean you have to be an expert. [Applicants] should be able to tell a story. I want to learn something in the video, so they should catch our eye and be memorable.”
If you can do just that, are 21 and are a United States citizen, you may just take one of three glorious positions that offer the splendor of beer combined with the wonder of travel.
