Turkish Airlines Stars In Latest Batman V Superman Super Bowl Commercials

Those of you who had Turkish Airlines as the official airline partner of the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” movie in their Super Bowl airline pool, pick up your money at the door. Also, you may want to check your gambling habits, because they seem to be inching toward being a problem. 

Now we were blasted for a few hours with one crazy commercial after another. Some were good; some were bad. And some were simply brilliant. In case you were out of the room before or just after the big game, we are here to clue you in on some major developments in the aviation department. One of those ads happened to be an ad within an ad for Turkish Airlines, which now services Gotham as well as Metropolis.

Much like watching Peyton Manning complete a pass of over 15 yards, we didn’t see that coming.

Here is an extended cut of Turkish Airlines announcing its Gotham City service with a very dapper Bruce Wayne:

Incidentally, we wouldn’t recommend visiting Gotham. It’s a very dark and ominous place filled with an ineffective police force that plays second fiddle to an adult male who dresses up like a bat to fight crime.

Still, this Bruce Wayne chap looks like a nice fellow.

Not stopping at one fictitious locale, Turkish Airlines also announced it would be whisking travelers to the friendly confines of Metropolis.

Not to editorialize too much, but we decided to lead with the Gotham commercial because it should be quite evident to everyone in the audience that Batman is the superior character and deserves any amount of reverence we can possibly offer.

Now, with that being said, we thoroughly enjoyed this complement to the Super Bowl proceedings.   

And it also works well within what has been an ingenious marketing push for the upcoming movie, which will spawn the advent of The Justice League in theaters.

Instead of merely going the usual route, the crack team has decided to bring some realism to the film. Back in October, for example, NYCC enjoyed free Wi-Fi thanks to a company by the name of LexCorp, run by a man with questionable hairstyle decisions.

Now, more visibly, the film is being touted alongside an airline that got a hefty public push on the one day of the year when people are actually watching live TV.

Like the denizens of those fictional cities, Turkish Airlines received a heroic boost from Batman and Superman.
