This week was all about flipping the script.

Just when you thought there was one way to enjoy sushi or ride a really killer wave, the Internet steps in and demolishes all that you thought you knew to be true.

Welcome to another weekly wrap-up of the stories and viral videos that were. Now feel free to chime in with any that you thought were missed.

However, with robot hitchhikers and UFOs, we think you will agree that you are well set headed into the weekend.

With that, we head deep into some seriously awesome travel stories.

What a Catch:

Eating sushi is great and all, but we really want a place where we can catch our own dinner and have it sliced right on the spot.

Tokyo seems to be granting that dream with a rather peculiar restaurant that is also a fishing hole.

Waterfall Slide:

Instead of busting out the slip ‘n slide and turning on the hose, perhaps save some water and head on out to Vancouver.

The area is home to a wealth of wonderful attractions, including a waterfall that doubles as the only natural slide you will ever need.

HitchBOT’s Demise:

This story serves as a bit of wisdom for any hitchBOTs out there that are considering a vacation at the moment.

Feel free to travel the world and enjoy the courtesy of strangers, because you will be well looked after.

Just don’t go to Philadelphia.

Final Proof of Alien Aviation:

While the object featured in the above video could be literally anything blessed with the gift of flight, including a drone or some superhero ready to save the day, we know that it’s really definitive proof that aliens have visited us.

That they chose to visit JFK airport is also proof that they are ironically down-to-earth kind of folks.

Power Surfing:

Lastly, we bring you something that you don’t see every day. It’s a video that proves there isn’t just one way to surf Tahitian waves.

Rather than ride by surfboard or Boogie Board, Robbie Maddison chose to take his dirt bike.
