This was an extremely eventful week culminating in a British vote that rocked the entire planet and left us all scratching our heads.

But Brexit is just one thing we covered over the past few days, because we also found time for stories that were joyous and others that we simply couldn’t tear our eyes away from.

Here is just a sampling of the best of the bunch.

Brexit Stage Left:

The world dove head first into a vat of an unknown substance called Brexit. It’s anyone’s guess how this momentous vote will affect tourism, the global economy and the world’s political landscape.

As we noted, Donald Trump was eager to not only champion the referendum outcome but also praise his hotel and golf course while also completely overlooking how Scotland voted Thursday.

Downvote: It’s almost as if a comedic writer scripted all of this and had Trump come off his helicopter right on queue after the Brexit vote.

Simply Golden:

Thankfully, there was good news amid the bad this week. For example, there will soon be a Golden Girls café in New York City.

Upvote: This is the kind of news that would even make Sophia smile. Now if we could just get a Knight Rider bar and Magnum P.I. restaurant we’d be all set.

Times Squared:

Times Square is now more colorful thanks to various colored boxes used as designated areas for the area’s costumed characters.

Upvote: We still have no idea why you’d want to take a photograph with someone just because they decided to one day buy a costume and stand around all day, but to each his own.

However, something needed to be done because the area has led to far too many stories of costumed characters behaving badly.

JoJo heads to Uruguay with a bunch of guys who walk on a carpet of testosterone wherever they roam.

Upvote: The show you hate to love continues to spread its wings and visit some of the planet’s most gorgeous places.
