Virgin Trains Unveils Free Entertainment Streaming Solution

Watching the grandeur of the world pass you by while traveling by train is nice and all, but there is crucial binge watching that needs to take place.

Anyone planning to traverse the United Kingdom by way of Virgin Trains now has the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of shows and movies on the newly launched Beam.

Beam, in case you were wondering, is Virgin Trains’ streaming solution that is, best of all, free to all passengers.

Now there are two important caveats that you should remember. First, Beam needs to be downloaded to your respective device before you board your train.

The second item of note is that you can’t take the entertainment with you off the train. Obviously, Beam will only work when you are on equipped Virgin Trains.

The following video explains just how easy it will be to infuse your next train venture into a spot to catch up on all your TV shows.

Its website spells out how this massively entertaining amenity will be rolled out: “We are launching BEAM on all Virgin Trains West Coast Pendolino trains on 6 June and are working hard on the remaining West Coast trains.”

The website also notes that east coast trains will get Beam at some point in the near future with some tweaking to the specific entertainment that will be offered.

For those fortunate enough to get in on the first few trains, you are getting nothing less than free and abundant entertainment, which is something we always love to see throughout our travels.

Beam currently offers such movies as “Captain America: The Winter Soldier," “Bridesmaids,” “Bridget Jones’s Diary” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

“House of Cards,” “An Idiot Abroad” and “Fear The Walking Dead” are just some of the shows you’ll be able to enjoy.

Sure, you can peek out the window and savor the sight of an ever-changing landscape. But we know you really want to lose yourself in your tablet or smartphone. Now you can; just remember to charge your device for that marathon session.
