Universal Studios Hollywood is looking for a few good zombies.

According to, Universal Studios Hollywood is holding auditions for what it calls “scareactors” Thursday and Friday, to terrify visitors in its upcoming permanent "The Walking Dead" attraction. Anyone is welcome to try out by signing up at the amusement park’s official website.

To qualify, applicants must meet certain height requirements, as well as show their ability to scare people. Scareactors will be asked to improvise their zombie impersonations and will be asked to maneuver through tight spaces, darkness, fog and other special effects.

The “Walking Dead” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood is scheduled to open to the public this summer, and it will feature characters, zombies and locations that fans of the show have seen on television or in the comic books.

To help with authenticity, “Walking Dead” director Greg Nicotero and members of the production team have been involved in the development of the attraction, including designing the prosthetics and bloody paint the scareactors will wear as the zombies.

As an actor or actress playing the zombies, employees will be asked to follow visitors around the park with the intent of scaring guests and driving more business to the attraction. For “Walking Dead” and horror fans, this attraction will be a marquee addition to Universal Studios Hollywood.
