What do you get when you combine an orangutan with tiger cubs? The answer, it seems, is an adorable video that will weaken the knees from an overload of cute.

And we imagine, an internet that adores cat videos will flip over an orangutan that seems to be moonlighting as a babysitter, when it’s not busy simply being a primate at South Carolina’s Myrtle Beach Safari.

But first we have to give a bit of thanks to’s YouTube channel that posted the following video that just about erased all the frustration that might build during the week.

When necessary, consider going back to this video time and again when you absolutely need to visit your happy place:

If cute were a sports team, this video would be the 1992 USA Olympic Dream Team. It would be a Michael Jordan free-throw-line slam dunk, or a Yasiel Puig bat flip.

Essentially, it’s the apex of adorability, rendering all of your respective childhood family videos obsolete.

And, according to, you can see it all unfold in person: “This unusual friendship between species is a daily occurrence at the U.S. zoo, as the orangutan enjoys playing with the tigers and can be found giving them hugs and mucking around with them almost every day.”

If that sounds like your idea of a great time, and we assume it does, you can get more details at the zoo’s official website.

For $299, the safari offers a tour, which it describes as the following: “The Wild Encounters Tour is a guided walk through a fifty acre preserve just 17 miles South of Barefoot Landing, where you'll meet tigers, wolves, leopards, chimpanzees, orangutans, and other endangered species, many of them up-close and un-caged!”

Talk about burying the lede, because officials only need plaster its website with the video and promise that tourists can see an orangutan feed a tiger cub.

That’s enough to have us packing our bags and clearing space on our Instagram feed.
