WATCH: Band Writes Song About 'Irritating' Ryanair
Well, say this — nobody (at least to our knowledge) has ever written a song about oft-hated, no-frills Spirit Airlines.
But a Spanish band, “irritated” by the customer service on Ryanair, has recorded a song about the European low-budget carrier.
Fed up with its customer service, the group not only penned a tune about Ryanair, but actually performed it on one of the airline’s flights. And despite the seemingly feel-good refrain of “Oh, how we love Ryanair,” the band made it clear it isn’t a love song.
“We do not love Ryanair,” the group said on its Facebook page. “After receiving the usual disrespectful treatment by Ryanair’s stewards on a flight to Santiago, we composed and performed this song dedicated to this irritating airline.”
A spokesman for Ryanair told the London newspaper the Daily Telegraph the song had “out of tune vocals” and “The ukulele playing leaves a lot to be desired and there isn't one trumpet.”
Here’s a snippet of the song:
