Watch New York City Subway Transform Into Booming Dance Party

Normally it's best to board a New York City subway, find a seat, and try not to sit on anything untoward. However, thanks to some creative partygoers, the thing to do recently was to just, well, dance.

Mashable spotted the following video from AMK Productions, which threw one hell of a dance party recently under the streets of New York.

Instead of drudging into the train with a somber look and their heads buried in the local fish wrap, the patrons light up the minute they find out this wouldn’t be like their normal daily commute.

This would be the subway rave they deserved:

The production company explains more on YouTube: “There's always something going on in the New York Subway — Music, art and entertainers to name a few, but one thing that's lacking is human interaction.”

So many of us are guilty of throwing on the headphones and losing ourselves into our own worlds.

Now we wouldn’t dare tell you to do otherwise, because podcasts aren’t about to listen to themselves.

However, think of the possibilities of doing something different.

Sure, change could be awkward and uncomfortable, but it could also be extremely inspiring as evidenced by this lovely video.

Next time you head down into the subway, consider bringing your dancing shoes.
