Maybe you need some warm consolation after getting to work late thanks to a traffic jam. Well, we have just the ticket.

I am from Los Angeles, which means, like Bane, I was born in the darkness. The darkness, in this case, is the unrelenting traffic that infects our roadways. Well, I have nothing to complain about according to the following video which shows a ludicrous amount of traffic congesting a Chinese highway.

Your mind will numb over from the sheer amount of lanes. Your brain will gloss over at the sight of hundreds of cars stopped by what looks like the world’s silliest bottleneck.

Your hands will literally rub your eyes from incredulity.

If I ever get into a similar situation, I am turning off the car, throwing the keys into the void and walking away and straight into life as a fulltime pedestrian. has more on the footage of a traffic jam from hell. The report explains how something like this can happen: “An incredible 750 million people, or half of China’s total population, went on holiday during Golden Week, the seven-day holiday marking the country’s National Day on October 1.”

As the report continues, what you see is the effects of many of those holiday go-getters returning home along the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong Macau Expressway.

Sadly, there is absolutely nothing "express" about it at the moment.

Might we suggest to the fine people in China that they enjoy a rather pleasant staycation next year?

It’s not like you are going anywhere anyway.
