There is a place in Jamaica that is so luxurious it holds a recording studio. Just in case Katy Perry or Rihanna feel the need to drop a new hit while on vacation. But that’s not all it does.
Hotelier Jon Baker brings luxurious resorts to the Caribbean and has a knack for specialty, vintage vehicles. Why not combine the both, right?
Guests of the Geejam Hotel can drive some of these old cars including a green 1976 Range Rover that was once owned by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bob Marley.
If this piece of history isn’t the type of car you want to drive. That’s okay. There are plenty of other fabulous options. According to Maxim magazine, you can hop in one of two Alfa Romeo Spiders from 1989 and 1991, a 1967 Mercedes SL Sports Pagoda, a 1971 Mercedes 300 SEL 3.5, and a 1988 Escort Cabriolet XR3 i. Marley's Range Rover, a Fiat Spider, a Jaguar XJ-S, a Jaguar E-Type Coupe and Roadster. There are still others that have some work to be done, but it goes without saying the other vehicles can take up your time while you wait. You can even take the super tourist route and have one of the experienced drives at the Geejam hotel chauffeur you around if that’s your preference.
The private hotel was nominated by the Jamaican press as “one of the top ten most fascinating places to hang out," and is located ten minutes away from Port Antonio.
