4 Irish-Themed Hotels to Visit on St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day may only come around once a year on March 17, but there's certainly no shortage of Irish pride and tradition to be found across the U.S.

Take these four Irish-themed hotels, for example. 

County Clare Irish Hotel

Where: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Given its rich beer brewing tradition, few cities celebrate St. Patrick's Day like Milwaukee. And if its an Irish experience you're looking for in the Brew City, look no further than the County Clare Irish Hotel.

Equipped with an Irish restaurant and pub, the hotel offers standard rooms, snug rooms and suites, while amenities include complimentary breakfast and a double whirlpool bathtub, among others.

Phoenix Park Hotel

Where: Washington, D.C.

While you won't be vary far from a slew of fine Irish pubs in the nation's capital, you also won't have to leave the Phoenix Park Hotel to indulge this holiday. That's because this hotel boasts an authentic Irish pub called the Dubliner.

In addition to traditional Irish food and beverages, the Dubliner boasts live music seven days a week.

If you can't make it for St. Patrick's Day 2016, be sure to plan a future stay. After all, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations that are scheduled to be completed this upcoming spring.

Irish Cottage Boutique Hotel

Where: Galena, Illinois

Despite being one of the newest hotels in Galena, Illinois, the Irish Cottage Boutique Hotel is as charming as they come. From the lobby to the guestrooms, the hotel features a truly unique design, with stained glass, tile and other items having been handcrafted in Ireland. 

Guests will find live entertainment at Frank O'Dowd's Irish Pub & Grill as well as an expanded menu. The pub claims to celebrate St. Patrick's Day everyday, but if you need a break head to the Galena Day Spa in the hotel's lower level for a relaxing massage.

Cape Cod Irish Village

Where: South Yarmouth, Massachusetts

A trip to New England can also feel a lot like a journey to Ireland courtesy of the Cape Cod Irish Village

Located in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, about an hour and a half southeast of Boston, this hotel boasts 124 mini-suites as well as a Irish restaurant and pub. Unsurprisingly, the St. Patrick's Day celebration at this hotel begins well ahead of March 17 and continues even after the holiday is over.

Because of its unique location, guests staying here can take part in a handful of activities, including whale watching, biking, hiking and kayaking, among other things.
