4 One-of-a-Kind Hotel Amenities Around the World

There are countless over-the-top hotel amenities from pillow menus to running concierges, but there are only a select few hotel and resort amenities that can truly be described as one of a kind or once in a lifetime.
Whether designed to get guests' adrenaline pumping or simply intended to send them into the deepest state of relaxation, these amenities are examples of how some hotels are pioneering the industry.
Here are four of the most unique hotel amenities available today.
Bald Head Cliff
Located in Cape Neddick on Maine's southern coast, the recently reopened Cliff House Maine overlooks the stunning Bald Head Cliff, which adventurous guests can climb during their stay.
Thanks to its unique location, the four-star hotel boasts "one of the most spectacular settings in all of New England," according to Rockbridge CEO Jim Merkel, making it the perfect place to ascend.
While clearly not for everyone — after all, this isn't the rock wall at your local YMCA — we have to say that scaling a cliff to check into your hotel is a pretty wild experience.

Oregon's Pacific Reef Hotel debuted a state-of-the-art oceanfront theater earlier this year, wowing visitors to the Pacific Northwest's Gold Beach with a 33-foot wide, 12-foot tall smart-glass screen that can transition from opaque to clear.
The theater, which also boasts a high-definition projector, sound system and open-air seating, can be seen from guests' balconies. And since it can transition to clear during the day, it doesn't block the property's gorgeous views of the nearby beach.
"We're thrilled to introduce the Adventure Theater with this one-of-a-kind experience for exploring Oregon's hidden coastal treasures," the hotel's owner Gene Pranger said in a statement earlier this year. "In an industry that typically struggles to attract occupants during the winter season, Pacific Reef is going above and beyond remarkable accommodations to provide unforgettable entertainment as well."
Fortunately for guests who can't view the screen, the hotel aims to broadcast the theater showings on its in-room televisions.

Indonesia's AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is a five-star hotel with five-star amenities, none more mind-blowing than the floating brunch offered to guests staying at its villas.
After changing into their bathing suits, guests can jump into their private plunge pool and enjoy a three-course gourmet breakfast via a floating tray. Brunch includes coffee, tea and or champagne for less than $150 per guest.
Since villa guests also have access to round-the-clock butler service, there's no cleanup afterward— now, that's luxury.
Lamborghini Test Drive
Any hotel stay is automatically enhanced by the opportunity to test drive some of the world's most exotic cars.
Thankfully, Hilton Worldwide's Waldorf Astoria luxury brand rolled out Driving Experiences two years ago and, unsurprisingly, it's been a hit with guests.
Having recently teamed up with Italy's Automobili Lamborghini, Waldorf Astoria will offer guests staying at select hotels this fall the chance to get behind the wheel of the new Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 and Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder.
Next month, the experiences will be available at Trianon Palace Versailles, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel during the Paris Motor Show, while three additional events are scheduled for November at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort (Nov. 3-7), the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah (Nov. 10-19) and the Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah (Nov. 20-22).
Buckle up and hang on tight.
