Between planning a summer getaway, paying for it and packing, there's plenty for travelers to overlook.
But before you hop in the car or head to the airport this summer, there are a handful of key travel items you'll want to bring with you regardless of where you're going.
It might be a fact that music makes everything better. Take your music with you this summer with a wireless bluetooth speaker. Sync it up to your smartphone and you'll be listening to your favorite summer jams in no time, whether it's on the beach or inside your hotel room.
If you're looking for something with powerful, clear sound that holds a chrage, I recommend the Bose SoundLink, which will run you just over $100.
Even if you aren't planning to spend hours on the beach or at the rooftop pool this summer, you'll definitely want to invest in a quality sunscreen. After a long day of sightseeing your skin will thank you.

Be Well founder Dr. Frank Lipman, who recently teamed up with Hyatt Hotels, encourages travelers to pack mineral-based sunscreen that won't clog their pores and lead to skin problems down the road.
Assuming you're heading somewhere warm this summer, you might consider bringing along a tumbler cup to keep your drinks ice cold for extended periods of time in the sun. The 20-ounce Rambler Tumbler from YETI is a good start. After all, it won't break the bank and should last you a lifetime.
For those social travelers with a little bit of money to spend, a waterproof GoPro video camera is a no-brainer. You'll be able to easily document your trip and have tons of fun whether on land or under the water.
Also, this might be a surefire way to make all of your friends back home jealous before you even get back.
Streaming all of that music, updating Facebook and Twitter and taking countless photos for Instagram is sure to wipe out your phone battery so make sure you have backup.
You don't need to break the bank by purchasing the biggest and baddest solar charger out there because ideally you won't be relying on it to keep your phone on. That said, remember to grab your phone charger before you leave home.
