On Tuesday, travel insurance provider Allianz Global Assistance announced that it has partnered with travel website Priceline to become the supplier of travel insurance on Priceline.com and the Priceline Partner Network.
For travelers booking their flights, hotels and rental cars with Priceline, they will now be able to package their trips with insurance coverage from Allianz on the same platforms.
Allianz Global Assistance provides insurance products that cover travelers for trip cancellation and interruption, medical and dental emergencies, delays, lost, stolen or delayed baggage and access to a 24-hour assistance hotline.
"We're thrilled that priceline.com has selected us as their travel insurance provider on priceline.com and the Priceline Partner Network," Allianz CEO Mike Nelson said in a statement. "We believe that our dedication to developing the best products, service and technology will greatly benefit priceline.com and its customers."
"We're pleased to be able to offer our customers the insurance products and award-winning service available from Allianz Travel Insurance," Priceline Vice President Ben Harrell said in a statement. "Allianz empowers customers who want to protect their travel investment and obtain valuable coverage for medical emergencies and more, as well as 24/7 travel assistance."
The partnership between Allianz and Priceline is great news for travelers. Not only does it provide an easy way to package your travel insurance with your flights, hotels and rental cars, but it also helps provide people with the peace of mind needed before hitting the road.

Major suffered a collapsed lung during a journey to Panama City and had to undergo surgery. Thanks to the insurance he purchased from Allianz, he was flown back to the United States in an air ambulance and the surgery went off without a hitch.
Major made the decision to buy insurance weeks prior to his trip, and the issues he faced were covered by Allianz. For those booking trips on Priceline, the new partnership with the travel insurance provider offers them the same peace of mind now.
