Avoid the Long Lines: Carnival Expands For-Fee Early Embarkation Program

Features & Advice | Carnival Cruise Lines | Theresa Norton Masek | July 03, 2013

Carnival Cruise Lines is expanding its “Faster to the Fun” program to three more ships this month — the Carnival Legend from Dover, England, on July 3, Carnival Inspiration from Long Beach, Calif., on July 8, and Carnival Miracle from Seattle on July 16.

The program costs $49.95 per stateroom and gives passengers priority boarding, exclusive security screening lanes, immediate stateroom access, expedited luggage delivery, priority dining reservations, priority tender access and choice of debarkation time. Clients who arrive when general boarding has already started can bypass the lines and head for the priority check-in and security lines. The program was launched last August as a test but has since expanded to most of the fleet.

The program is now available at the following homeports and ships.

Miami: Imagination, Liberty, Glory, Breeze and Victory

Port Canaveral: Ecstasy, Sensation and Dream

Tampa: Paradise and Legend when it returns in the fall

Jacksonville: Fascination

Fort Lauderdale: Freedom

New Orleans: Elation and Conquest

Galveston: Triumph and Magic

Charleston: Fantasy

San Juan: Valor

Barcelona: Sunshine
