Compagnie du Ponant Luxury Cruise Line Goes All-Inclusive
French luxury small ship cruise operator Compagnie du Ponant is launching an all-inclusive fare structure under which meals, drinks, 24-hour room service, entertainment and gratuities will be among the elements included in the base fare. Air-inclusive options will also be included with select itineraries, along with port charges, taxes and fees.
The new policy takes effect immediately and excludes guests; personal expenses, airfare, transfer and optional excursions. Compagnie du Ponant features cruises to all seven continents, including such destinations as the Mediterranean, Antarctica, the Dalmatian coast, the Caribbean, Arctic Greenland and South America. The company’s newest ship, 132-guest La Soleal, is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy and will join the fleet in June 2013.
