Crystal Forms Partnership with Hollywood’s Magic Castle
Crystal Cruises has formed a partnership with Magic Castle in Hollywood to perform magic shows at sea. The magic shows begin July 23 on Crystal Symphony and Aug. 6 on Crystal Serenity. The partnership was announced as Crystal honors its top-performing travel agents at its annual gala cruise from Istanbul this week.
Magic Castle, a private magicians club, will perform shows with just 20 guests to ensure up-close views of the tricks. The partnership also will offer complimentary classes for adults, enrichment on topics like Houdini, and children’s shows on select sailings. The magic shows will be performed on 13 Europe cruises this year and every voyage in 2013.
Like Magic Castle, the magic shows on Crystal will be “invitation only,” with advance tickets available at the ships’ libraries. There will be multiple half-hour performances several nights during the cruise. After the cruise, the invitation can be used for admittance to Magic Castle in Hollywood.
Crystal also gave agents a preview of its 108-day 2015 World Cruise, which will be a full circumnavigation of the globe round-trip from Miami. The voyage on Crystal Serenity will traverse Central and South America, the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa and the Caribbean. Six segments range from 15 to 21 days.
The 2015 World Cruise will be Crystal’s 20th and will mark the beginning of the luxury line’s 25th anniversary. Eleven overnights are planned, including double overnights in Auckland and Cape Town. Maiden calls are scheduled for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Albany, Australia; Ambodifotra and Taolagnaro, Madagascar; and Richards Bay, South Africa.
