Five Travel Startups You Need To Fund Now

One of the best things about the age of technology that we live in is that you can crowdsource almost everything. One way that this is helping inventors is by allowing them to raise money to fund projects that may have been lost as just another unrealized “great idea.” So how about a few travel-inspired projects to help get your entrepreneurial juices flowing? Here you go:
This is exactly what dreams are made of, both for the inventor and for the consumer. The Airhook is a device that will allow you to not have to open your tray table in order to have a place to put your drink and or your phone/tablet for viewing. It has a Universal electronics device holder that supports phones and tablets up to 7.5 inches tall, with an adjustment knob to correct the angle for reclined seats. For any person who feels cramped pulling down the tray table, this is the device for you.
The ultimate in luggage is coming to a baggage carousel near you Meet The Space Case, a piece of luggage that has fingerprint opening, global tracker, lift-less self weighing scale, Bluetooth speakerphone proximity sensor / anti-theft alerts, and power bank all built in. It comes in carry on and checked luggage sizes and is going to retail at about $600 for the smaller, so get in on the Kickstarter and save a ton of money now.
There are a lot of people who would like to have a travel blanket that isn’t too bulky, that doesn’t take up too much room in their carry on, and of course comes in stylish colors. Well here is your solution: The Silk Pack Travel Blanket. Made of 300 thread-count silk, the blanket folds flat and has a built-in travel bag which folds flat to the size of a tablet. Eight colors and three different styles are available.
OK, I just want to go on the record and say that if you are washing your chinos in a fountain in New York City, you have a problem. Actually, you probably have many problems, but these chinos are for you. They are also for other people that would like to have a pair of pants that are incredibly soft, wrinkle free, dry quickly, have zippered pockets to prevent from pickpockets, and have a bomb-proof jean tack(?!). They come in three fashionable colors and a multitude of sizes. Just not big enough for me. But I have to be honest, I don’t wash my pants in a fountain anyway.
RigPup: The Ultimate Travel Feeding System for Active Dogs is an ingenious set of travel bowls for your dog. It is a collapsible set that unfolds to hold three and a half cups of dry food and three cups of water. It's lightweight, durable, dishwasher safe and even ergonomically designed to hold. It comes in two flashy colors and your dog will love it. Well, your dog might not care about the colors, but they will love the fact that you are actually feeding them. Go fund it.
There are plenty more projects where these came from to fund out there. What types of travel projects have you funded? Let me know in the comments below.
