Saint Patrick’s Day returns soon, which means you can take out that green suit you wear but once a year.
WalletHub unveiled its newest survey of 200 cities across the United States, ranking them based on how viable they are for your green-tinged festivities. The website looked at a wide spectrum of criteria, such as parades, number of Irish pubs per capita and price of a three-star hotel. Officials even looked at the weather on this magical day so as not to have you ambling and carousing in the rain.
What they found was iconic party cities like Chicago are not as high on the list as you might think.
In fact, that green-river locale comes in at just No. 14 while another major city (Los Angeles) is 144th.
It seems for a perfect time that comes with some savings, you are better off taking your Paddy’s Day party to Buffalo, Madison or Boston.

There are some extra tidbits tossed about at the site, including the fact St. Louis joins the likes of Seattle, Tampa and Yonkers as having the most Irish pubs per capita.
But if you really love this day of merriment, you will adore the following infographic that breaks down more particulars behind this special festival of pinching and revelry. (Such as how much vegetable dye (45 pounds) is used to turn Chicago River green. Now impress your friends with that fact.)
