How to Travel Anywhere With Just a Carry-On

It’s so much easier – and, nowadays, cheaper – to travel with just a carry-on bag whenever you hit the road. You reduce the risk of lost luggage. You always have your things with you. You can get in and out of the airport faster and without having to wait in lines for your baggage.

“Taking just a carry-on is liberating because you’re not bogged down by heavy bags,” said packing expert Anne McAlpin in an article for The New York Times. “It also saves you money since you don’t pay to check luggage and can rely more on affordable public transportation instead of pricey taxis because a small bag is easier to transport around on your own.”

McAlpin never checks any luggage. Even during a three-week trip to the Middle East and Asia, she brought just a carry-on bag. She notes in the article that packing using these simple tips are all you need to travel hassle-free forever.
