Introducing The World's First Floating Wood Fired Pizza Place

There are plenty of strange places for a pizza place — in a basement, at the back of a grocery store, or even hidden in a casino — but this is probably the strangest and coolest place to have one: on water. Cloud 9 is a two level floating lounge, bar, and wood fired pizza restaurant. They have a fully stocked bar with international top shelf drinks as well as pizzas made by hand to order. They can also accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diners.

Here is the best part: Cloud 9 is located in Fiji. The water is blue and the view is beautiful. Go for a swim or just hang out on their reclining day beds, hanging chairs, chairs, and benches. During the week the vibe is always going with a cutting edge music playlist, but on the weekends it really ramps up with international DJs spinning tunes.

You can reach Cloud 9 in 35 minutes by speedboat or in a couple of hours by leisurely cruise. Transfers depart from Port Denarau Marina. There are toilets on board (come on, I know you were thinking about it) and they accept all international credit cards. They can handle up to 100 guests and children are welcome.

The costs are about what you would expect for a private oasis of pizza and booze. Your day lasts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the rates are around $90 American for adults, and about half that for children aged 3-12. Transfers, lunch, and two drinks are included in the package deal.

Pizza, booze, floating off of Fiji?  Please count me in.
