JetBlue Adds 2 New Tasty Snacks To In-Flight Offering

JetBlue just went crazy in the snack department.

The airline is making things a bit more delicious on its flights, announcing that it has beefed up its complement of in-flight snacks. Sadly, however, this doesn’t include anything in the way of actual beef in its various scrumptious forms.

It does, however, mean that JetBlue flights will now have have Cheez-It crackers and Ocean Spray Craisins to beat back the unrelenting hunger pangs that come with travel.

As the airline reminds, these are just two new additions to its supply of free snacks it gives its passengers. One can see from the above image, the new stars of the show have friends in the form of PopCorners, Skeeter Nut-Free chocolate chip cookies and Terra Blues potato chips—all of which trump the usual tedium that is free peanuts.

We enjoy just about anything within the confines of an airplane if its complimentary, but that kind of variety is appreciated all the more.

Jamie Perry, vice president of marketing, JetBlue offered the following on the announcement: “When our onboard snack basket comes around you’re free to grab as much as you want. It’s like the comfort of your home – all the snacks you like, live television, and free Fly-Fi with streaming video while you relax in a comfortable seat with plenty of legroom.”

As noted, JetBlue has a habit of switching things up and infusing its flights with a new selection from time to time.

Now, we suggest making sure you handle your hunger off the airplane, perhaps with fare from the airport—there is simply more variety—but JetBlue is one airline that gets us when it comes to satisfying not only hunger but the boredom of rather ordinary snack selections.

Munching just makes flying more enjoyable.
